Students at SRHS can often be seen with some sort of coffee or refreshing drink in hand, usually from Starbucks or Dutch Bros, or some sort of Monster, Red Bull or Alani. However, all of these options from large brand names can cost students lots of money and sometimes a pretty long wait. So why not check out the new coffee shop across the street?
Peak Coffee is located at 1206 Mendocino Avenue, right across the street from Santa Rosa High School. This new coffee shop offers everything a student could crave, from matcha to coffee, lemonade to boba and even canned drinks like Chi or Yerba Madre. Not only do they have sugary drinks, but they also have sweet treats and pastries.
Plus, their food and drink isn’t just delicious, it’s also very affordable. The business has recognized its customers located one crosswalk away and offered quite an amazing deal: if you bring your student ID with you, you can get a 10% discount on your order. You can get a coffee at Peak Coffee for half the price of what large chains would usually charge! Juniors Sofia Wolcott and Payton Joy got a Mocha Frappuccino, Cookies and Cream Milkshake and a bagel all for just $15.
For such cheap prices, one might assume that the quality must not be that good. However, it is exactly the opposite! “It’s one of the best things I’ve ever had. I’ve never been disappointed,” said Wolcott, who is already a regular.
Other than the delicious food and impeccable service, the shop itself is beautiful. The walls are decorated with small but aesthetically pleasing paintings, with flower pots adorning the corners of the waiting area. “This place is the place you want to go after school with friends,” said junior Rita Lindsay.
