Fall Fun!

Halloween is right around the corner and excitement is in the air all around Santa Rosa High School. Between the spookiness of haunted houses and costumes, Halloween is an exciting time of the year, and what really highlights the holiday are the pumpkin patches!

Many people are excited about the pumpkin patch coming to our campus. It gives students the opportunity to experience a pumpkin patch without having to go far. “I think people should come. FFA puts a lot of effort into activities like this, and they take a lot of time growing the pumpkins,” said junior Naomi Perry. Rather than taking a 15-minute drive to go to a pumpkin patch, students now only have to take a five-minute drive to the school’s pumpkin patch.

There are many activities to do at the pumpkin patch, such as the corn maze, climbing up a hay tower and the corn pool. You can get your face painted and take pictures with friends and family. These activities are enjoyable for all and can be core memories for kids, memories they will never forget.

The corn maze is a great way to start your pumpkin patch experience, especially if you’re someone who enjoys getting lost with your friends. There are two different types of corn mazes in a pumpkin patch. The first is a small and simple corn maze designed for young children and the second is designed for those who are more mature due to the size and complexity.

Another fun activity is the hay tower, which is the perfect way to get a view of the entire pumpkin patch when you reach the top of the tower. You can also take pictures with family to hold a memory of being with your family in the pumpkin patch.

A third activity at a pumpkin patch is the iconic corn pool, in which you can move around and sit down while getting a massage-like feeling as you move around the pool. It can be a way to entertain toddlers and allow them to experience a corn pool for the first time when visiting the pumpkin patch.

Overall, the pumpkin patch is a fun way to start off fall and celebrate the Halloween season. It will create memories for those older in life and for those who are still young alike, and they all are sure to remember moments like these in the future.
