Find friends at Fashion Club

Santa Rosa High School has many clubs that students can join. You can find a club for almost any hobby, and if you can’t find one you can start one. With about 1500 students there is a club for everyone, and if there’s anything you love doing you can find other people with that same interest. If you have a love for fashion you’re in luck because the Fashion Club, led by seniors Molly Chesadel, Kai Au, Jennifer Alvarado Flores and Suyai Martinez, takes place on Wednesdays in Room 56.

Club treasurer Chesadel said, “I think the Fashion Club is important since it brings together people at the school who have a passion for anything fashion related, and it gives them the space to express themselves!” A usual day in Fashion Club consists of plenty of projects and activities where there is a craft that relates to fashion. Fashion Club is a great community for people with interests in the design and elements of fashion. You don’t need to be following a career in fashion to join; as long as you have an interest like that of the club, you’ll fit in perfectly.

The club is run by Martinez, who is accepting new members at any time. No matter how late in the year you’d like to join a club, most will let you join at any time. Nervous of commitment? You can come sit in on a club meeting before fullying signing up, and you can always leave clubs as well. If you’re ever bored on a Wednesday at lunch, stop by Fashion Club! You will be greeted with smiling faces and kind souls with the same interests as you.

Meeting new people can be hard in high school, especially making friends with the same ideas and values as you. Whether you’re going alone or with all your friends you will have a great time and will get the opportunity to meet new people. The Fashion Club is a safe place for students of any grade, gender and sexuality; no matter who you are you will always be welcome to join.
