Tristan Liggett (11) from the Chess Club poses with his chess board. In the Chess Club you play chess, can learn to play chess, or just hang out with the other people. If you wish to join, the club meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the auto shop.
Tina Dang (11) is the president of the API (Asian Pacific Islander) club, which is all about celebrating Asian culture. They will be doing potlucks and boba fundraisers later in the year. If you wish to join, the club meets every Thursday at Mr. Tsuromoto’s room, room 13. Malaina Vaden (12) and Peri Zoe Yildrim-Stanley (12) are the president the vice president of the astrology club. The club does planetarium visits, night viewing and generally learns about astrology. If you wish to join, the club meets at room 54 on Mondays at lunch.
Here is the Santa Rosa High School’s chapter of Amnesty International, a club for human rights, the members shown in the photo are Zohar Kennard (12), Anya Fouts (12) and Isabella Danberger-Sheldon (12). The Humans Rights Club will organize protests, send letters to politicians and teach people about political issues.
Another club to check out is the SkillsUSA. It’s a club for students in a CTE course, and is made to help with leadership skills. As of now, there is no determined time or location for meeting, but stay tuned and keep an ear out for when it’s announced.
One club that’s worth a look is definitely the Undead Poets Society, which is a poetry club. In this club, they want to give a voice to the voiceless through poetry. The club meets every Thursday at lunch in room D201, if you’re interested in joining.
The Paper Crane Club is another great option, as the club is all about making paper cranes for non-profits and hospitals, to send little messages of hope to those who are sick or need these messages. The club meets on Thursday at lunch, at room D111.
