Spring Greetings

Spring is by far the most beautiful season of all. During this time of the year, there are many different activities to do. These activities range from hiking to finger painting the beautiful flowers which grow in the fields. Some common things to do is to lay out in the sun, spend time with loved ones, and exercise. Additionally, many people enjoy looking at the cherry blossoms, having a picnic, and planting to make sure there will be plants for summer.

Many well known events that occur only in spring are Coachella, Rolling Loud, and Bottle Rock. These events are always a blast if you are able to attend, but they have lots of negatives as well. They are very expensive due to the fact that many celebrities attend these events as well. Also, the destinations of the events are all pretty far away and they don’t really help nor support the surrounding communities. Due to this, many high school students do not attend these festivals. But, if one was to have the chance to attend it, they would have a wonderful time.

Although, many aren’t able to attend “well known” festivals, there are some fun ones which take place in Sonoma County. These events have many positives, they are inexpensive and a shorter commute. These events are The Cloverdale Fiddle Festival, Windsor Day Parade, Californian Artisan Cheese Festival, Sebastopol Apple Blossom Festival and Parade, and Railroad Square Music Festival. These events are all super entertaining, they help support and bring together the community, and they are local.

During the spring, many people just sit at home and watch Netflix. Don’t be that person, get out and get some fresh air. Getting out with the community is so good for us, mentally and physically. As well, one doesn’t have to go on a luxurious vacation over spring break to have a great break. Get out in the nature, take a hike, have a picnic, or go to a festival with some friends. Don’t waste a spring break, just have fun!
